Philip started in ship brokering in Oslo, Norway in 1974. He joined Skaarup Chartering Corp in 1978. In 2002 after 24 years with Skaarup Chartering, he left to join the newly formed Bulk Ocean Chartering.

Robert DelVecchio

Graduated from Bryant College in Smithfield, RI in 1972 and started his career with Skaarup Chartering Corporation in 1975 in the operations department. In 1977, he was invited to join the Chartering Department as a tanker/dry cargo broker. Bob has been an active member of A.S.B.A. over these many years and joined Skaarup Shipbrokers as Vice President in August of 2003.

Gary began his shipping career in 1968 as a deck officer in the Merchant Marines, eventually rising to the position of Chief Officer. He then went shoreside in 1972 to work for the Bethlehem Steel Marine Division as foreign vessel operator, eventually arriving in New York as Assistant Chartering Manager. Gary joined Skaarup in 1976 as a dry cargo broker, was appointed Vice President in 1981 and except for a brief portion of 1977 when he joined Marine Transport Lines as Project Manager, Gary has been a member of the Skaarup team since.

Gary now operates for Skaarup out of an office in Waterford, CT, concentrating on a number of exclusive and semi-exclusive accounts.

Theo joined Bulk Ocean Chartering in 2002 as a principal broker for Aimcor. He started his career in shipping in 1989 with Bingham-Bigotte & Co., NY, NY. In 1999, Theo joined BBT Tradeships of Fort Lee, NJ where he worked for 3 years before joining BOC. Theo graduated from Bowdoin College in 1987 with BA’s in Russian and German Language/Literature.

David Elsy

David started his career in shipping at Lambert Brother Shipbroking of London in 1973. He moved as a trainee to Skaarup Shipping in 1975, working in Chartering then Ship Management until 1985. David spent the next 18 years with Navios Corporation working in all aspects of their business before rejoining Skaarup Shipbrokers in 2004. David graduated from Loughborough University, UK with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Travis Meadows

Travis graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S.
degree in Coastal and Marine Policy and Management in May 2003. He started his career in shipping at a major shipping line in operations and eventually moved on to chartering where his focus was primarily on the Atlantic woodchip trade. He joined Skaarup Shipbrokers in December
2007 and is currently a broker handling wood products.

A senior accountant in a CPA firm since 1998, Chris joined Aimcor/BOC in July 2002. He is responsible for directing the organization's accounting functions. These functions include establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedutes and initiatives. Chris prepares financial reports and presents recommendations to top management. He received his bachelor"s in Accounting from York College, City University of New York and his M.S. in Transportation Management from Maritime College, State University of New York.
